Tracy Jones is an author and freelance editor and reporter correspondent, appearing having appeared regularly in several newspapers.

Her paranormal/gothic novel, Scent of the Wolf, has received outstanding reviews and will be republished by Lachesis Publishing Company in January 2009. She's also working on the sequel, so check back often for updates! Her historical romance, Maggie McCarty, has just been released and is available at Amazon, or Amber Quill Press!

Tracy is a member of the National Society of Newspaper Columnists (NSNC), a member of the Horror Writers Association, and founding president of the HWA chapter, Indiana Horror Writers (IHW) (to check out some great pictures from the World Horror Convention 2007 in Toronto, Canada, click here). She was a member of Romance Writers of America for several years, and founding president of the RWA chapter, Gothic Romance Writers, Inc. "After everyone else has gone to sleep for the night, there are few things more satisfying to me than leaving the everyday world and going off on a writing adventure," Tracy said. She doesn't limit her writing to one genre or format, and enjoys reading a variety of authors. "It's always a big thrill to discover the work of a talented, new writer." Besides a passion for historical fact or fiction (she's her family's genealogist), Tracy is also devoted to vintage sci-fi and horror movies (think Universal Monsters), Twilight Zone reruns, all Star Trek series and movies, just about anything with Vincent Price in it, the original Planet of the Apes movies, the Martian Chronicles, the old gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows, and her all-time favorite late-night host, Sammy Terry.

Tracy grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana ("the back forty of the Indy 500 was my back yard"), and remains a loyal Colts fan. She now lives Danville, Illinois (you can check out her new blog at All Around Danville) with her fiance', her 10-year old daughter, and three very big dogs. Tracy also has two grown children who are married and have families of their own.
